After a long weekend at Rainbow River we were starving on our drive home. We stopped by Little Joey's for our first visit. The first thing that come is the drinks, and this place has the best coke Ive ever tasted. It was actually as crisp as coke out of the can. The waitress was quick. And when my lasagna came (I always get lasagna on my first visit to an Italian restaurant) it was some of the best sauce I'd ever had. Im seriously hooked on this place now. its hard to pass it when we go to the river.

Great Family Friendly Atmosphere! Good Food, Awesome prices. Excellent Homemade sweet tea. I drank 3.5 pitchers my first time there. Ordered a pizza, and some tiramisu. Pizza was much better than dessert. But still good for the venue!. And for the commenter back in January. Its a pizzeria, and a family restaurant. Quite is not what you would expect! The noise is Love and Laughter the first sign of a happy satisfied customer! I love the noise.

I was there for the 1st time a few weeks ago. I ordered the Manicotti. A young waitress with short dark hair took care of us. She was cold, rude and we had to ask the other waitress to fill our water glasses because the young one never came back to our table. The older waitress was awesome and so funny but this young girl was so nasty. The Manicotti was on the cold side. There were only 2 small pieces. They tasted like the frozen ones I get at walmart. I left there $35 poorer and I was STILL hungry!!! I went to Pavorotti yesterday. 3 huge manicottis, piping hot, huge fresh salad...sorry little joeys....but you will not see this family again

Asked for spinach on my pizza for take out and when I got home I discovered it was canned spinach, it was horrible!!! Not much cheese and they put black olives on instead of green. :(

Nice local pizzaria. Staff is great and seems to know the locals of the town when they walk in. I was just driving through the area and stopped by for lunch and was pleased with their food, though I had pasta instead of pizza.

I really didn't want to give this place even 1 star. It has the worst Italian food I have ever tasted. It was bland and was not hot when it was served . Will never go back even if they paid me. We went there 2 and both times the food was terrible. It was pricey for what they gave you.

New review: the regular pizza and meatballs pizza is awesome. I also had a veal sandwich there and it was good. I will be returning Not that great. I will try pizza next time. Loved the sausage. Did not care for chicken lasagna or beef ravioli. I will go back one more time. Prices are ok. Pasta over cooked in lasagna and under cooked in ravioli. I was told all pasta is made on premises. Not sure about that.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
